Clean India (Swach Bharath) Programme

Clean India Programme  organised by Indian Railway and Lakshmi Bangaru Arts and Science College, Melmaruvathur on 1st October 2023 at Melmaruvathur railway station between 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.

The programme was initiated by a warm welcome of Ms. P.Ashweetha, II-B.Com.,  Dr.R.S.Venkatesan, the Principal of the college, presided and spoke about the disadvantages of plastic usage. Mr. Kipson Raj, Assistant Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer, Tambaram railway station, who participated as the special guest inaugurated the Clean India programme at melmaruvathur railway station.

The Station Manager Mr.Murugan, Health inspector Mr.Vignesh, Signal & Tele engineer Mr.Mathi,  melmaruvathur Railway station and our 30 NSS volunteers participated in this programme and jointly took pledge about Clean India. Also Dr.Rajasekar, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Non-Teaching staff Ms.Rukmani from Lakshmi Bangaru Arts and Science College, melmaruvathur were present in this programme. They cleaned the premises of the Melmaruvathur Railway station along with the railway staff and Rotary club members.

At the end of the programme, student S.Madhumitha, II B.Com., thanked every one of them. According to the student they realised their social responsibility and created awareness among the public about the clean India.The arrangement was made by NSS Programme Officer Prof.G.Babu.
