NSS unit of Lakshmi Bangaru Arts and Science College, Melmaruvathur & Acharapakkam Fire Station jointly organized “Awareness on Fire Safety” programme on 27.10.2023 at 9.30 A.M. in college portico. Around 250 students participated in this programme.
The principal of LBASC, Dr.R.S.Venkatesan, delivered the presidential address of this programme. The event became effective when the chief guest Mr.R.Samynathan, Station Officer, Acharapakkam Fire Station addressed the programme. The soldiers from the fire department demonstrated the method of extinguishing the fire. They also explained through the process how they can protect themselves from floods and earthquakes.
In this, NSS students participated well and learned to put out the fire using fire fighting equipment. Students also learned how to protect themselves and others from hazards such as earthquakes and floods. The programme arrangement was held by NSS Programme officer Prof.G.Babu
