The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Lakshmi Bangaru Arts and Science College, Melmaruvathur, organised a Human Rights Day Pledge Taking Ceremony on 10th December 2025 at 11.00 AM in the LBASC Auditorium to commemorate Human Rights Day and promote awareness on equality and justice.
The programme commenced with an introduction and with the encouragement of our Principal, Dr. R. S. Venkatesan who compressed the participants on the significance of human rights and the responsibility of every citizen to uphold and protect them.
Mr. P. Kanniyappan, Health Inspector, Government Primary Health Centre, Acharapakkam, administered the Human Rights Day Pledge to all the participants. The pledge emphasized the values of equality, dignity, freedom, and respect for all the individuals.
A total of 200 students and 20 faculty members actively participated in the programme and took the pledge with commitment towards safeguarding human rights in society.
